Air New Zealand Flight Status & Guidelines

Travelers can check flight status in real time on the Air New Zealand reservation website on the “Flight status” column by entering their destination and arrival. Air New Zealand Baggage Allowance

Checked baggage allowance is decided by the fare and cabin class. If more than 2 infants are traveling, you have to purchase a child fare for the infant not traveling on the lap and he/she has to sit in one of the approved car seats. Children 12 years and older have to pay adult fares.
  • Air New Zealand Unaccompanied Minor: Children older than 2 years will need to have their own seat onboard and must be accompanied by a passenger which is at least 15 years old, or they are categorized as unaccompanied minor.
  • Air New Zealand Child Seating Policy: An infant aged between 8 days and 2 years is not allowed to purchase an additional seat, he/she can sit on lap. If you are bringing another infant, an extra fare has to be purchased and seat your child in one of the approved car seats. Children aged between 2 to 11 years will be required to purchase an adult seat.
  • Air New Zealand Child Fare: If you bring your infant on Air New Zealand international flights, a 10% of adult fare is charged as a ticket fee for your child. Children fares are the same as adults when traveling within New Zealand, Tasman or the Pacific. On long haul international flights, 75% of the adult fare is charged and when traveling in Business Premier flights, fare rates are the same as adults. Children 12 years and older are charged adult fees.
